Rescuers find crashed plane while looking for glider

Kapo GR

Rescuers in Graubünden called out over the weekend to the site of a crashed glider which had killed the pilot, also found a light aircraft which had crashed nearby – killing 4.

It's unclear if the two incidents are related. The light plane had not been reported missing, although it had taken off from Neuchatel on Saturday.

The call about the glider came in on Saturday, but the weather at the time meant a recovery operation couldn’t be launched until Sunday.

The victims have been identified. At least two came from Neuchatel. The police say their families are being supported.
