Possible end to quarantine rules

It’s being reported the Federal Council is considering ending all quarantine requirements for those who have been fully vaccinated.

The Blick newspaper is reporting it could be as soon as this week the rule will end for residents who have been vaccinated – but it could also be extended to visitors who are vaccinated.

There are also calls from the travel industry to rethink the quarantine list which is issued by the government.

The head of the Swiss travel company Globetrotter, André Lüthi, says the way the rules are now is that as Swiss infection rates drop, then more countries will end up on the red list, which could scupper hopes of a summer bounce back in the travel industry.
