Plans for Euro 24 Fan Zone

Although there are still six months to go – the details of a massive fan zone on the Plain de Plainpalais for the Euro 2024 are being released.

The tournament is in June, but large crowds are expected as not only Switzerland has qualified, but countries that have many nationals living in the country - such as France, Portugal, Italy and Spain. 

The organiser, Frédéric Hohl, says the sale of spaces for food stands are going well. Crowds of 16,000 are expected. 

There could be an element of pent-up demand as the fan zone for the World Cup in Qatar was cancelled amid controversy over forced labour and human rights.
