One hairdresser in Bern says it charges CHF 80 for a no show, it even charges CHF 40 for a cancellation with 24 hours.
Other salons in Lucerne, Zurich and Küsnacht have introduced similar penalties, as businesses move to protect themselves from last-minute gaps in their schedules.
