No hospitalizations for 24 hours

The latest figures from the Federal Health Office shows infections are down and for the first time in many months, there were no new hospitalizations for Covid in the last 24 hours.

Last week the were 972 new infections, the week before, over 1,000. No one was admitted to hospital – the week before there were 30 people. Last week three people died, compared to five the week before. 

The office says there may still be corrections in those numbers, but it says it expects the trend to be down. 

Reflecting the impact of the vaccinations, now the age group showing the biggest climb in infections is the 10 to 19 bracket. There were 130 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
