The new tunnel running from the autoroute to the international organisations in Geneva is open today.
After six years of work the tunnel will drastically cut traffic running through Grand Saconnex.
Over the weekend, locals were invited to walk through the 1.2 km long tunnel before it was opened to traffic.
The cantonal minister for transport, Pierre Maudet, says the new road will improve the quality of life for residents.
