New feature for Twint users

The payment app Twint is branching beyond payments with a new digital shopping list

The feature, now available to Twint's more than six million users, offers a catalogue of about 1,500 items and lets shoppers add their own.

Lists can be shared with a code, so members of a household can tick items off as they buy them.

The list does not link to the payment side, so a shopper still has to check items manually even after paying with Twint at the till.

Chief executive Markus Kilb says the aim is to "anchor Twint even more firmly in daily life", with a direct-debit function for recurring bills also planned for 2027.
