Nervous US investors look to Swiss stability

Billions of dollars from wealthy American clients are said to be flowing into Switzerland.

A report in the Financial Times says private bankers and family offices are all reporting increased interest.

While most banks are remaining quiet, Vontobel Bank confirms it has seen increased interest from the US.

Analysts believe Americans are seeking a safe sanctuary for their cash and looking to diversify their portfolios.

Rahul Sahgal, head of the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce, tells the Blick that Americans know Swiss banks are competent and the franc is stable.
