The re-opening of the Natural History Museum will be delayed – for about a year.
It was hoped the museum would be able to open its doors at the beginning of next year – now it’s likely to be towards the end of 2025.
But even then, the work won’t be finished. The museum says the reopening will be part of the building – some work will continue in to 2026.
A spokeswoman for the museum says the work must proceed carefully due to the fragility of the exhibits.
