More federal cash needed for tests

There is pressure on the Federal Government to provide more money for covid testing – including home testing kits.

Currently, only canton Bern is sending out home kits. Other cantons are reluctant to take on the extra costs. Some national parliamentarians are calling for more money from central government to help.

One socialist MP, Flavia Wasserfallen, says the testing programme must not be allowed to fail due to lack of cash.

Another Erich Ettlin, says cantons which test more should also be rewarded with the ability to open up the economy further.
