Man uses date-rape drug to rob victims

A man in Zurich has been jailed for 5 years after admitting he used date rape drugs to rob sexual partners.

The 37-year-old man used dating apps to find his victims. When in their apartment, he used the drugs to sedate them.

While groggy the man used the victim’s face to unlock phones and raided their bank account, often using Twint – transferring money to himself.

He also stole valuables, such as watches and jewellery.

It’s believed he took more than CHF 50,000 between March and August last year.
