Major pro-Palestinian march in Geneva

Over 2,000 pro-Palestinians marched through the streets of Geneva on Saturday afternoon.

One of the organisers, Hafid Ouardiri, says you don’t need to be supporter of one side or the other – just against the horror in Gaza.

Protestors carried placards calling for boycotts and sanctions against Israel.

Backing the marchers, former special UN rapporteur and sociologist, Jean Ziegler, is calling for Switzerland to convene the signatory states of the Geneva Conventions to demand an immediate cease fire.
