Two men are facing charges of forgery after police raided a sophisticated printing works in canton Aargau.
Officers found a press producing very high-quality fake USD 50 bills.
But that was not what police were looking for – they were searching for an illegal hemp farm, and stumbled across the printing process.
The charge sheet says the men, aged 71 and 49, were producing the fake notes from November 2021.
Prosecutors says the aim was to produce the most perfect forgeries possible.
