French President Emmanuel Macron will travel to Switzerland on Friday to attend the national memorial ceremony for the victims of the fire at the Constellation bar in Crans-Montana.
The French government says his presence, alongside Swiss authorities, is intended to underline France’s solidarity, after several French nationals were among the forty people killed, with many others injured, in the blaze on New Year’s Eve.
Meanwhile, all forty people killed and 116 injured in the fire have now been formally identified, according to Valais cantonal police.
