Locals around Geneva airport are upset at a new long term agreement it's signed with the canton.
Many feel the commitment to cutting noise pollution is too lax.
Those nearby say they want stricter rules over late take-offs – those after 10pm.
The airport does allow – and will continue to allow – late running services to operate.
Residents also want a commitment that any long-haul services leaving between 10pm and midnight to be only operated by aircraft that meet new noise requirements.
The canton says it has to balance the wishes of the residents and those of the airport.
