The fire in Lignon last Thursday has claimed another victim.
A 28-year-old woman died at the Geneva University Hospital on Saturday from her injuries.
Earlier in the week, her 13-year-old son was killed in the same fire.
Friends described her as a devoted mother.
Investigations into what started the fire in the basement of the apartment building are ongoing. It took two hours for the fire brigade to bring the blaze under control. During that time, residents barricaded themselves indoors on the advice of firefighters.
The mother and her son were found in a stairwell while trying to escape.
