Residents in Lausanne had a sudden start to their morning yesterday. The emergency sirens started to wail just after 8am.
It wasn’t just one siren, but several in the middle of the city.
Police soon confirmed it was a glitch – but only after they had to handle hundreds of panicked phone calls.
The Alert Swiss phone app also had to send out a message reassuring people there was no danger.
