Klitschko calls for Switzerland to ban Russian TV

Vladimir Klitschko - Wikipedia

The former international boxer and now Ukrainian envoy – Vladimir Klitschko – is attending the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, and is calling on Switzerland to ban Russian state media from broadcasting in the country.

He says if Switzerland sits passively on the sidelines, it will also have blood on its hands.

He told the Blick newspaper that the world has to show Russia that everyone is against the war and a full oil and gas embargo is needed.

But he added the worst weapon is the media. He says he’s switched on the television in Switzerland and can see Russian media which is calling Ukrainians Nazis and fascists. He says the broadcasts need to be stopped as it’s brainwashing.

Klitschko’s brother Vitaly, also a former boxer, is mayor of Kyiv.
