A judge in canton Aargau is causing uproar after he posted on LinkedIn that the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a mass murderer leading his people to their deaths in a hopeless war.
He called him a vassal of NATO and the United States.
The judge, Giorgio Meier-Mazzucato, who sits in the Aarau district, was nominated to the position by the Liberal Party.
Local party officials are distancing themselves form the judge. The president of the Liberals in Aargau, Sabina Freiermuth, says the comments are wrong and tasteless.
The judge has form. He has been criticized in the past for commenting the Covid vaccine was killing people.
