Job market tough for graduates

Graduates are finding the job market increasingly tough – even for those with advanced degrees.

The Tribune de Genève reports that amongst those unemployed in Switzerland, an increasing number are graduates. 

Those with IT skills are missing out due to outsourcing, the banking sector is tough - especially after the merger of Credit Suisse and UBS - and AI is beginning to have a huge impact, according to the labour market research institute at the ETH Zurich. 

AI is hitting academic posts, as well as language teachers, translators, and marketing roles.
