Switzerland’s strategic kerosene reserves are running below legal requirements.
According to the Federal Office for National Economic Supply, stocks currently cover about 72 days, short of the 90 days mandated by law.
Officials blame the post-Covid rebound in air travel, saying demand surged faster than reserves could be replenished.
They insist supply is still secure - for now - and say contingency plans are ready if shortages emerge.
