Inflation will stick next year

A survey of economists suggest inflation will remain a problem next year.

It’s predicted inflation will be at 1.6% next year – up 0.3% since the previous survey published in March.

It will be 2.3% this year, says the survey.

Unemployment is expected to stay roughly the same. This year at 2.2% and then 2.3% by 2028.

GDP this year is expected to be 0.8% and 1.6% next year.

Eighteen economists were asked their opinion and the survey was published by the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
