Infections continue to rise

The latest figures from the Federal Health Office shows infections continue to rise.

In the last week, there as a rise of 75% to now 13,304 confirmed Covid cases in the country – and 11 deaths. 

Hospitalizations are up 19% over the last week – with those in their fifties being the most affected group.  

The contagious Delta variant makes up 97% of all new cases. 

Half the population is now vaccinated and around 130,000 people are getting a jab every week.
