Switzerland is feeling the pressure of an unusually early European heatwave, as the continent's climate observatory warns that extreme weather is becoming the new normal.
The figures show May was the second-hottest on record across Europe, behind only May 2024.
They also show overnight temperatures in this country have been unusually high.
Experts predict the warming temperatures are leading to more frequent and intense heatwaves - which are occurring earlier in the season.
