Traditionally, the most expensive place to live in Switzerland has been Zurich’s so called ‘Gold Coast’ – that’s around Küsnacht and Zollikon.
But now, to add to the loss of prestige – those people can now see the new exclusive area from across the lake.
Prices in Kilchberg and Thalwil are now higher. Real estate agents say demand from ex-pats – mainly German – have pushed prices to the highest level in the country, at around CHF 35,000 per m2.
