The new equestrian brigade of the Geneva police is operational.
Three horses, Carino, Nival and Donavalon, have been in training for the past year. They were appraised at the end of last week by Belgian Equestrian police who conducted 2 days of aptitude tests with the horses and five riders.
The horses are of the Franches-Montagnes breed and selected for their cool, calm character.
They will be engaged for prevention, deterrence and repression missions.
