The government has released the details of how much health insurance premiums will rise next year – and the two most affected cantons will be Geneva and Vaud.
In Geneva, prices will be hiked by 6.5%. That’s a rise of nearly CHF 30 a month, the biggest in the country in cash terms, and Vaud will go up by 6.4%.
The new prices were announced by the Health Minister Elisabeth Baume-Schneider in Bern.
She pointed out the pressures on the health system were being driven by an aging population and higher drug costs.
