Geneva is using a new type of radar to catch speeders, and it’s considered so accurate the margin of error is reduced.
The new laser system was bought by Geneva police at the end of last year and is already in use.
It has several advantages, from the police’s point of view, such as it can be used on bends, which traditional systems can’t.
But its major advantage is accuracy. The Federal Office of Metrology says the margin can be reduced from 5 to 3 kph.
