Geneva Country Club gets makeover

Renovated restaurant at David Lloyd Country Club in Geneva

The Geneva Country Club has had a major makeover and is now unrecognizable.

The British sports company, David Lloyd bought the club in 2020 at the height of the pandemic.

After 13 months of renovation there’s a 25-meter indoor pool, paddle courts and a spa.

Tennis remains a central part – although the renovations mean there are three fewer courts than before, the ones remaining have been completely renovated.

Also refreshed are the changing rooms and the restaurant.

The company says it’s keen to attract families – a creche is available – and those who can work remotely, there will also be a co-working space.

The British firm says it’s keen to expand in Switzerland and is already looking at Lausanne, Basel and Zurich.
