A car making an illegal turn caused chaos on Geneva’s tram network yesterday morning.
Just after 7:30, near the Val-Ombré bridge on Route de Meyrin, a driver trying to make a U-turn ended up stuck between two trams, knocking one off the tracks.
No one was hurt, but the damage was heavy. Tram lines 14 and 18 were badly disrupted, with buses replacing trams on parts of the route until late morning.
