Geneva has reactivated its extreme heat plan as scorching temperatures return.
MeteoSwiss expects the heatwave to last at least until August 16th.
Authorities are urging people to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity during the hottest hours and keep homes cool.
Extra help is available for people over 65, including free morning swimming and afternoon cinema screenings.
Officials are warning residents to pay particular attention to elderly, isolated and vulnerable people.
