The price watchdog is criticising the price of generic medicines – noting the cost in Switzerland is far more than any other European country.
In Spain the cheapest generic drug is 27% less than here and, in the UK, as much as 84% cheaper.
The watchdog says there’s still scope for further healthcare savings and suggests pricing should be based on comparisons in other countries.
