Rescue teams that had been sent to Turkey to help in the search for survivors following the massive earthquakes last week, have started to return home.

The first flight landed at Zurich last night.

Over the past week, the 87 people and eight specialized dogs, saved 11 – including a six month old baby and his mother.

Public donations to help the victims of the quakes continue to flow in. Swiss Solidarity says so far it has collected CHF 16m and it’s still getting around a million a day.
