Bern has announced it will pay each victim of the Crans Montana fire CHF 50,000 as a one time payment.
The money will be paid to survivors and to the families of those who died.
Parliament has to vote on the proposal - there's little doubt it will pass, but some right-wing politicians say it’s too much.
The Confederation says it will also provide CHF 20m to a panel designed to reach an agreement with those affected, it will also give the cantons that has to help those affected a further CHF 8.5m.
