Film festivals galore in Geneva

Movie lovers, get ready, Geneva’s autumn is packed with festivals.

First up, from the art and design school, the HEAD Cinema Festival opens September 24 with four nights of student films under the stars – there’ll be opportunities to talk to the film makers at the outdoor screenings.

Hot on its heels, the Franco-Geneva Five Continents Festival celebrates its 20th edition from September 26 to October 5, serving up 40 films from around the globe.

October brings Animatou, the city’s animation showcase, turning 20 this year with a bumper program, while Everybody’s Perfect - the queer film festival - runs October 10 to 19 with fresh discoveries straight from Cannes.

And then to round it off, the Geneva International Film Festival starts at the end of October.
