Organisers of this weekend’s OpenAir Gampel Festival in canton Valais called health authorities after several festival goers reported being struck down with diarrhoea.
Food and water samples were examined and a viral infection was found.
In addition to the infection, medical workers were kept busy due to the heat. Around 700 needed treatment for heat exhaustion.
Despite the heat and the diarrhoea - organisers say the four day festival was a huge success.
