Health insurance rates will go up next year – but not has much as previous years.
According to a study by Comparis, rates will go up more than inflation next year at 4% - but last year it was 8.7% and the year before 6.6%.
The analysis suggests the demand for weight loss drugs will be a significant factor in the rise and the number of treatments available under basic policies is continuing to expand.
The latest figures from the Federal Health Office shows the average person pays CHF 4,754 a year – up more than CHF 200 from the previous year.
