The snow on Friday evening caused scores of minor accidents and major issues for Geneva public transport.
The snowfall caused issues even for those with proper snow tyres due to the very cold weather. Vaud police say the snow froze as soon as it hit the ground, forming ice.
Police say although there were plenty of accidents, all were minor and there were no serious injuries.
