Geneva’s Escalade Race is breaking records yet again.
Nearly 60,000 runners have signed up for the 47th edition on December 6th and 7th, a 4.4 percent increase over last year, despite a cap.
Organizers say interest remains strong, proof that running is booming.
Start times have been spread throughout Saturday to avoid cancelling races and add two extra starts.
Participants range from ages four to ninety-three, with women making up just over half of all runners.
