Electric car prices should fall this year

Motoring analysts expect the price of electric cars to fall in Switzerland over the course of the year.

Sales of fully electric or plug in hybrid models have faltered over the past year - but after years of strong growth.

But over supply and cheaper batteries are expected to reverse the trend.

More charging stations are being installed – there should be 20,000 across the country by the year end.

Campaigners are pushing landlords to allow better charging facilities for those who live in apartment buildings.

Parliament has rejected federal subsidies for that – saying it’s a matter for the cantons.
