A 94-year-old woman has died following a house fire in Grand-Saconnex on Thursday evening.
Firefighters were called shortly after 8 p.m., arriving to find heavy smoke coming from a first-floor apartment.
They managed to pull the woman from the building within minutes, but she could not be revived.
The fire was quickly brought under control and remained limited to one room. No other injuries were reported.
