Easter air traffic down on last year

Easter traffic at Geneva Airport was slower than last year – but that’s likely to be due to the lateness of the holiday period.

The number of passengers passing through over the long weekend was down 6% on 2024.

But this year, Easter was three weeks later than last year – and that probably meant many skiers heading for the slopes in France and Switzerland stayed away, not sure of the snow conditions.

The airline, SWISS, says it was happy with the weekend – it saw 9% more passengers than last Easter - but not skiers.

London and Miami were popular destinations, it says.
