Engineers altered the course of a river in Geneva over the weekend.
As part of the redevelopment of La Praille-Acacias-Vernets, the Drize River’s route is now flowing through what will become the heart of the of the new region.
The Drize is the only river that rises and ends in the canton, when it flows into the Rhone.
For years it’s been hidden under roads.
When the development is finished, it will be focal point of a large green area.
