Drivers warned on clearing windows

Several police forces across the country are warning drivers to make sure all windscreens and windows are clear of snow and ice.


Vaud police are launching an awareness campaign – and thousands of posters will be going up across the canton stressing the importance of making sure the vehicle is in a safe condition to drive. 

The police say it’s not just windows, but also lights and the licence plate should be clear.

Yesterday Lucerne police stopped several drivers for not clearing their car of snow. They risk fines and even a suspension.
