Cooler weather on way

After weeks of hot, dry weather we are now expecting lots of rain through Thursday and Friday

The heaviest downpours are forecast south of the Alps, and there's a low pressure system moving in from France that should mean more rain well into next week

MeteoSwiss says total rainfall for the last week of August will probably be more than the seasonal average, easing the current drought that has hit Switzerland hard, especially in agriculture

Temperatures will drop to the mid twenties, much closer to usual summer conditions
