Forecasters are warning of strong winds and bitter cold coming in central and eastern parts of the country.
It’s expected cold air from the arctic will be arriving - bringing very unsettled weather.
Level three wind warnings have been issued in cantons Schwyz, Glarus, Lucerne, Sankt Gallen as well as the Appenzells and parts of Bern.
There’s a high risk of falling trees and flying debris. Winds could be strong enough to overturn trucks.
Southern areas could also be affected with snow warnings in place in Ticino.
Western areas should escape the worst of the weather.
