Car causes major damage at GVA

An out-of-control car leaving a Geneva Airport car park on Saturday afternoon caused major damage and injured two people.

The 82-year-old driver left the P2 car park and swerved into several parked motorcycles and hit two people waiting at a payment machine and then rammed the side of the airport building.

Police say they’re trying to determine why the driver lost control.

The two injured were taken to hospital with serious, but not life threatening, injuries.

In total, eight motorcycles were damaged, some had to be removed by trucks.
