The mayor of Soral in Geneva is furious a new bus service will run through his border village – but not stop.
The service runs from Viry in France to link up with the new tram line in Bernex. Despite the bus passing through Soral, it won’t stop there.
The reason given by the TPG is also frustrating. It's because it will be too popular with the residents.
The transport company says the bus will only be a minibus with a capacity of 25. They estimate there will be 40 Soral residents who would take advance of the service if it did stop.
The TPG also says the village will benefit from the bus as it will cut traffic on its roads.
