Burger chain guilty of sex harrassment

(c) Five Guys

The Geneva branch of fast-food chain Five Guys has been found guilty of workplace sexual harassment between 2020 and 2022.

The labour court said a female employee faced repeated misconduct, including lewd jokes and unwanted touching, creating what it called a hostile work environment.

The woman eventually resigned. Judges criticised the company’s handling of internal complaints and ordered it to pay nearly CHF 20,000 in compensation.

Five Guys says it will appeal the decision.
