A Scottish wingsuit flyer has been killed after a jump in canton Uri.
British champion Liam Byrne died after jumping from 2,400 meters on Saturday. He had been featured in a BBC documentary last year.
He was described as highly experienced. He’d been using a wingsuit for the last 10 years and has jumped more than 4,000 times.
He was known as being highly prepared, but Uri police say he deviated from his route for unknown reasons and hit a rock outcrop.
An investigation is under way.
